Pictures of the AEI Australian Alumni Hunt 2008

25 teams woke up early on Saturday May 10th to join the Australia Education International (AEI) Australian Alumni Hunt 2008.
UMAA Malaysia and Uni of Melbourne co-subsidised 5 teams - namely team Voltron, Thundercats, Wasabi, Everady Huntsmen and Sea Eagle.
There were also other teams from Melbourne Uni who had generously funded their own entry.

The race started from 3 KiaPeng Condo, organised by Time-Out Solutions.
Teams had to walk to KLCC to do their first challenge ( Aust famous landmarks pose)..before proceeding to KL Tower to complete the next 3 challenges (Flying Fox, Aussie Slang and Sight Seeing).
The next challenge was a food tasting whereby the participants get to evoke their memories of OZ by eating Vegemite, Pickled Onion, Beef Jerky, Lemingtons, Anzac Biscuits, Kangoroo meat, Emu meat, Minties, Jaffas, etc.

The hunt then started nearby Hotel Malaya in Chinatown area and ended in Brickfields with 3 more challenges.
One team from Melbourne Uni managed to come in first, having completed the race at 1 1/2 hours before the closing time.

All teams then returned to 3 Kia Peng for lunch and the results announcement.

Unfortunately, the organisers changed the prize structure at the last minute. Only 3 teams got prizes for the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place. The balance 5 prizes were awarded to the most effort team (last place team), most creative answer team, most funniest pose team, team with the youngest participant and the best pose team.
This left many teams gearing up to get prizes leaving dissapointed instead.

All in all it was a fun, gruelling, interesting hunt for everyone. Hopefully next year it will improve further.

The 3rd place team from Melb Uni (Team Voltron) winning RM400

The most creative answer team (Team Wasabi from Melb Uni) with their answer for SNAG (Sensitive New Age Guy)
