Professor Julie Willis Kuala Lumpur ABP Reception - Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning

Professor Julie Willis, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning, visited six Asian cities in mid-August for the first time since becoming Dean, to meet some of our most significant overseas alumni cohorts and supporters, and to hear from alumni how the faculty can best serve alumni communities in the region.

Professor Willis spoke about her vision for the Faculty and the new Bachelor of Design degree.

An ABP alumna and Faculty teacher herself, Professor Willis was previously Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research) at the University of Melbourne before beginning her new role as Dean of ABP in November 2016. She is an authority on the history of Australian architecture, co-editor of the Encyclopedia of Australian Architecture, and is particularly interested in heritage architecture. Her work on the history of women architects in Australia has garnered significant attention and several book awards.
